TRC Advanced Energy (TRC) is a nationally known energy efficiency consultancy. TRC is seeking a Remote Project Manager 1 preferably in the NY market. This position will support NYSERDA's New Construction Early Design Support Program.
- Manages a portfolio of energy efficiency and clean energy projects.
- Manage statements of work, budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
- Responsible for managing clients and contractors.
- Responsible for making decisions on selecting new projects and terminating projects that are not performing.
- Responsible for providing program and project status reports and updates to NYSERDA Senior Managers.
- Manage current and future pipeline of architecture and design projects submitted through the New Construction Early Design Support Program.
- Perform technical reviews of proposals submitted to the New Construction Early Design Program.
- Review and manage project deliverables.
- Analyze data at a project and tactic level to identify deep energy savings and financial implications for project teams.
- Contribute to managing the Early Design Support projects in the online database, including data entry, deliverable tracking, and invoice approval.
- Engage with architecture and design teams, active and new market actors, including customers and developers, to understand market trends, market gaps, and spur activity in current and future NYSERDA New Construction programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, architecture, building sciences, or related field required.
- Minimum of 2 years project management experience in energy efficiency and clean energy in the public and private sector is required.
- Have technical knowledge of architectural and engineering design, building system specification, and construction practices of clean, resilient, and carbon neutral ready projects.
- Understand the construction industry, building innovation, and the financial considerations of developers and building owners, or be familiar with the building design industry.
- Possess technical knowledge of energy efficient equipment and renewable systems.
- Have working knowledge of Passive House, LEED, and other design strategies and certifications.
- Possess ability to communicate effectively with architects and designers, customers, contractors, and internal staff.
- Proficient in software such as Microsoft Office 365 Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.

In accordance with local law, the following compensation range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition: $65,000-$75,000. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
