Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control is seeking a Project Engineer for the SOF Systems team, which is part of the SOF GLSS (Global Logistic Support Service) Program based in Lexington, KY. This program, critical to the success of US service men and women deployed throughout the world has a Mission to rapidly and properly equip the SOF community and its war fighters with the best possible mission systems and equipment.
The role will lead a multi-disciplined team with the technical execution on all SOF Systems task orders involving development and advancement of technology, modifying existing equipment and integrating modified components into various platforms based on customer specifications.
The position requires a highly motivated individual with demonstrated exemplary communication and technical skills to lead a diverse team of engineers. The candidate should possess knowledge of systems engineering principles/processes/lifecycle and the ability to adapt the same rigor for rapid development of design required by SOF GLSS.
The chosen candidate is expected to perform the following duties for the SOF GLSS contract:
- Analyze customer requirements to determine total scope, basis of estimate, an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), resource requirements, and formulate the overall engineering solution.
- Manage and ensure tasks are prioritized and on schedule
- Work with Chief Engineer to identify staffing requirements (direct and contractor) associated with technical execution
- Work with Chief Engineer to coordinate engineering proposal development including Basis of Estimate (BOE) and Schedule
- Ability to function as Cost Account Manager (CAM) supplying monthly team inputs in support of project cost and schedule performance.
- Provide oversight of the team and subcontractors to ensure technical review completion/closeout actions and on-time work product deliveries.
- Evaluate and approve engineering releases and changes.
- Oversee development of design, generate reports and reviews, and lead the team during design review briefs.
- Daily internal and external customer communication.
Basic Qualifications
- Knowledge of systems engineering principles/processes/lifecycle
- Communication and technical skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of software suites that support all phases of development process
Desired skills
-Familiarity with DoD acquisition process
-Demonstrated knowledge of RF Systems
-System Architecture Development Experience
-Demonstrated knowledge of software suites that support all phases of development process such as Solidworks, Catia, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, DOORs, Teamcenter.
-Knowledge of printed circuit board design

Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Colorado Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $100,400 - $192,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $115,500 - $217,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
