InLine Engineers, a Gray Company, is hiring Project Managers. InLine has been providing engineering and project management services for the development and execution of capital projects relating to processing, packaging, and facility improvements in the food and beverage industry since 1996. We have world class, high-volume production expertise in baking, frozen foods, meat production, cheese, dairy, savory snacks, and beverages, including distilled spirits. Gray is a leading integrated design-build firm offering engineering, architecture, and construction services to domestic and international customers.
- Overseeing project management for food and beverage sector projects. Provide lead interface with customer.
- Plans, schedules, conducts, and/or coordinates detailed phases of project development and execution through customer acceptance and closeout.
- Responsible for overall project deliverables (safety, scope, schedule, budget, quality, communication, information management, customer acceptance, etc.).
- Responsible for building and maintaining internal and external relationships to ensure collaboration, cooperation, and communication throughout the project.
- To mitigate risk for InLine and the customer, ensure projects are executed in compliance with InLine Engineers and/or Customer workflow and design standards.
- Can assist in generating an entire estimate, scope of work, and proposal within their area of expertise. Can support and sometimes lead a sales call or site visit with a technical lead, sales lead, PM, and/or customer liaison.
- Facilitates/ Leads technical discussions on projects requiring innovative, original solutions. May function as discipline engineer or technical expert on certain projects as needed. Ensure that work completed by others is checked.
- Lead progress Design Reviews and ensure that solid documentation is generated in a timely fashion.
- Takes a lead role in site support and commissioning, including planning and facilitation.
- Critical for the individual to increasingly develop an ability to “courage to handle the unknown” and “embrace the changing dynamics” of projects. Confront tough situations.
- Be able to provide periodic project dashboard updates.
- Be on a path to obtain PMP certification.
- Gain a good familiarity with the engineering services that Inline offers.
- Assist in facilitating/ leading internal sessions that enhance a growing technical knowledge for our team members (E3).

- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum and ideally a minimum of 5 years of experience in developing and executing technical deliverables for capital projects is required, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
- Ideally, possess a level of competency/experience with food/ beverage applications (Processing, Packaging, and/ or Electrical) and a broad understanding of how multiple systems interact.
- A desire to lead. Possess a track record of building customer relationships.
- Must be proficient with MS Office Suite.
- Must have proficiency with MS Project.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Attentiveness to detail, follow-up procedures, and documentation of action. Proficient in time management and personal organization.
- Travel is required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
