The Evidence Management Analyst will work in conjunction with the Evidence Management team under the EMO manager. The goal is to ensure successful delivery of services as a part of the larger eDiscovery Operations Group. The position will be responsible for tracking, logging, and backing-up all data collected by or delivered to United Lex. Upon receipt, the data must be logged, backed-up, staged and ticketing must be closed.
This role will also be responsible for the successful delivery of Forensic Data (such as mobile kits or external hard drives) to UnitedLex clients. The data will need to be tracked in UnitedLex's Evidence Tracker with proper Chain of Custody.
REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES:
- College degree preferred.
- Background in Data Services / Evidence Management / Data Forensics preferred but not required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working in project-oriented, team-based environment.
- Able to multi-task while remaining detail-oriented and organized.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently.
- Successful at delivering to tight deadlines.
- Able to communicate professionally and effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Exhibits great interpersonal and relationship building skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Learn and apply industry-accepted principles in retrieving, recovering, and preserving digital evidence.
- Maintain strict Chain of Custody and Logging documentation.
- Maintain the department Evidence Locker (check-ins, check-outs, inventory, organization).
- Receive, track, and direct all incoming packages and data, and send notifications of receipt in a timely manner to the team.
- Create and build out team process documentation; identify Standard Operating Procedures and process improvement opportunities and update documentation quarterly.
- Ability to ship, track, and provide information on data delivery to clients.
- Detail-oriented project time tracking and daily time entry submission in accordance with billing standards.
- Continually seek opportunities to improve, automate, and increase quality in procedures and services while deepening client relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Identify project risks early and plan for mitigation and minimization.

Salary Range
The salary range for this role reflects the range of factors that inform case-by-case compensation decisions including education, experience, training, licensure, certification, and geography as well as the business and organizational needs specific to the role. Compensation ranges may be broad, reflecting flexibility within the budget and title to consider candidates of varied experience. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this role is $24 to $27 per hour.
