Project Analyst Ii

JLAN Solutions is small, woman-owned government consulting firm based in Washington, DC. We partner with various government agencies to provide them Program Management and Training subject matter expertise. Currently, we are hiring a full-time Project Analyst II specializing in government proposals. This role will be highly crucial in managing and supporting project tasks for multiple state and local government agency proposals simultaneously.

This position will allow you to contribute to impactful projects within the government sector, while at the same time work with and learn from highly-experienced professionals, and hone your skills in proposal management and process improvement. Location: This position allows the incumbent to work remotely on a full-time basis.

What you’ll do:

• Maintain the state and local proposal library, ensuring all necessary documentation is organized and accessible
• Create and implement processes to track all active state and local projects, ensuring deadlines and requirements are met
• Document proposal best practices for future reference and improvement
• Provide basic support for proposals and case teams, including administrative tasks and coordination
• Assist with data calls and research projects as necessary, ensuring accurate and timely completion
• Read Request for Proposals (RFPs) thoroughly, disseminate information, and identify actionable items
• Proactively research and identify areas of improvement within proposal management processes, suggesting and implementing enhancements as needed

What you’ll bring to the table:

• Bachelor's degree in a Business Administration, Proposal Management, or 8 years equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in supporting government proposals, preferably at the state or local level
• Ability to analyze multiple sets of data and identify patterns for best practices, errors, areas of opportunity, etc.
• 3+ years of experience working within cross-functional teams and managing communication with both internal and external stakeholders
• 5+ years of experience in Microsoft Office Suite, including at least 1 year with SharePoint
• 3+ years of experience reviewing contracts and/or legal documents, and analyzing and disseminating appropriate information

It would be great if you also had:

• Knowledge of proposal management best practices
• 5+ years of experience maintaining SharePoint subsites at the user or basic administrator level
• Experience providing proposal management support at the federal level

Salary: This position pays between $35-50 per hour or $72,800 - $104,000 on an annual basis. Salary will be in line with experience, skills, and education based on the current market data and job requirements and will be negotiable depending on these factors.
