Project Accountant (Construction)

Flynn Construction is looking for a Project Accountant with prior experience in the field of processing contracts, accounts payable, and project management. This employee will be using their strong organizational and practical problem-solving skills to assist our accounting team.

Our Project Accountant helps the Company maintain a high level of service and positive client relationships by acting as an intermediary between our Company and any subcontractors we utilize. This is a great opportunity for an organized and resourceful professional who is eager to tackle problems head-on.

Essential Functions

• Manage and maintain change orders
• Verify, code and enter all project invoices
• Understanding of CSI budgets
• Review and process subcontractor contract and supporting documentation
• Create and execute daily Purchase Orders
• Assist project management team with any rental set-ups that require first time payment or credit applications
• Send RFI’s (Request for Information) to subcontractors throughout the construction project to ensure accuracy of the contract amounts
• Subcontractor payment paperwork distribution and collection
• Assistant with job cost reporting
• Proactively address any project accounting issues and concerns to the project management department
• Attend and contribute during weekly project accounting meetings
• Assist with any accounting administrative tasks, when necessary
• Prior experience with Sage/Timberline, TimberScan, and Procore is a plus
• Construction industry experience a plus

Required Education and Experience

Associate degree in Accounting or at least three (3) years of experience in a Project Accounting role

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
