Programming, focused on internal campus collaboration:
- Assist in the planning and execution of StarTUp student entrepreneurship events, including logistics, recruitment, communication, and participant engagement/follow up. Events include but are not limited to workshops, competitions, guest speakers/panels, and networking gatherings (both in person and virtual).
- Assists in the development of programming for students across the whole of TU. This includes engagement of potential and existing internal and external partners (e.g., faculty, staff, alumni, and 3rd party contributors). Programming such as, TU College Cup, University Innovation Fellows, Hackathon.
- Assists with the promotion of StarTUp student programs to the TU community through outreach and networking. May give presentations on StarTUp student programs to students and faculty ad hoc.
- May provide functional supervision of student interns including providing direction, assignments, feedback, and coaching.
- Assist in planning and implementing Programming and events. Such as the annual summer Accelerator. Provide advice and assist ventures within the scope of individual expertise and capacities (i.e., pitch support, logo support, graphic design etc.).
- Occasional support of evening and weekend events will be required.
Daily operations of StarTUp co-working space and Business engagement space.
- Provide reception functions for the space, including creating an accommodating and welcoming atmosphere for clients and visitors. Assist visitors with building amenities included technology.
- Maintain building access, as the key coordinator and for all electronic card access for StarTUp @ the armory.
- Provide administrative support including such as answering calls, space reservation management, visitor inquiries, tours of StarTUp space, and catering.
- Support the facilities maintenance work orders and housekeeping services communications for the building.
- Produce and edit content for quarterly newsletter, social media, and web.
- Attend startup community events to support StarTUp engagement in the startup ecosystem.
Support business operations for StarTUp.
- Establish and/or coordinate clerical reporting functions.
- Maintain StarTUp Procurement card and manage expense transactions.
- Process accounts payable transactions using the STRATUS and TU Foundation financial systems.
- Assist with travel arrangements and travel expense reimbursements for StarTUp Executive Director.
- Assist with data input and maintenance in Salesforce.
- Assist in the preparation of strategic plans on a programmatic level.
- Performs other duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Two years of program and/or project experience with an incubator, startup, or entrepreneurial program and/or community building experience — relevant internships, volunteer work, and coursework/campus activities may count toward this requirement.

- Demonstrated competency and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint included).
- Compliance with university policies, procedures, and guidelines for financial reporting and budget requirements.
- The highest level of integrity and the ability to maintain confidential information are a must.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated interest in and understanding of the startup ecosystem, entrepreneurship, innovation, and working with students.
- Comfortable with the following tools: Sales Force or other CRM tools.
- Experience in a similar role in an educational institution, startup, government, non-profit, or for-profit.
- Experience with entrepreneurship competitions logistics, working with early stage/student entrepreneurs, co-working spaces, and/or incubators/accelerators a plus.
- Community building, convening, and connecting experience.
Special Requirements
- Able to work the occasional evenings or weekend as required by program responsibilities.
