Program Support

Position Purpose: The Foodbank seeks a high energy person with a passion for service to fill an open role on the Programs Team. This full-time position will work with the Programs Team to distribute food off site at Mobile Farmer’s Market locations. This position requires outdoor work in all temperatures.

Position Essential Functions and Responsibilities: To be successful in this role, an individual must be able to perform in a satisfactory manner the functions/responsibilities listed below.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain aspects of the Mobile Farmer’s Market and other Foodbank programs, including: o Assisting with packing the truck daily for distribution, includes using warehouse equipment (training will be provided) o Being on site at Mobile Farmer’s Market distributions to distribute food directly to clients, including communicating with clients, bagging food, helping manage distribution volunteers, cleaning up and set up at distributions o Ensure all on site distribution volunteers are signed in using The Foodbank’s volunteer management software
• Assist the warehouse team in monthly inventory counts as necessary
• Assist in cleaning trucks, food distribution carts, and restocking distribution supplies
• Assist in data collection and reporting as it relates to direct distributions
• Manage deadlines
• The ideal candidate must have a collaborative spirit and enjoy working within a team
• Enjoy working in a fast paced environment
• Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Superior customer service skills/prior experience working with the general public

Qualifications

• Driver’s License Preferred

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Dayton, OH 45417: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work

Pay and Benefits Summary: This full-time position pays $19/hour and averages 36 hours a week. The Foodbank’s work week is four days a week. 401k match provided after one year, PTO accrual begins after six months, free YMCA family membership and college reimbursement provided. Health insurance and dental insurance are provided to employees at no cost, and vision insurance is provided at cost to the employee.
