Summary:

GbILS is looking for a Program Manager at NASA, Edwards AFB.

Essential Job Functions:

• Responsible for managing the task order and all associated tasks


• Will lead the project team


• Single technical point of contact to the Government and to the Project Managers

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

• Skilled in writing and validating technical reports, analyzing metrics, and identifying areas for improvement.


• Demonstrate good problem-solving skills Have experience overseeing accomplishments of multiple tasks.


• Experience with workforce planning, human resource policies, staffing and NASA regulations.


• Experience as a supervisor/manager, communicating the organization’s vision and objectives; setting priorities; assigning tasks and responsibilities; monitoring and evaluating performance; coaching and developing employee capabilities; approving leave; and recommending or approving corrective/disciplinary action as appropriate.


• Experience leading, managing, and strategic planning for an organization, as well as collaborating with agency program executives to meet agency objectives.


• Demonstrated excellence in the performance, development, and/or execution of: Solutions to technical and operational problems unique to facilities engineering work, including mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical systems.


• Task/project budgets and estimates Strategic long-term program vision/direction Team building and leadership.


• Must be self-motivated and a “Team Player” with excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.


• Must be able to organize time, assignments, delegations, and properly prioritize efforts for maximum effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, plus years 10 years of experience.


• In lieu of degree, engineering and facility with 15 years of experience.


• Significant experience in the management and/or supervision of an engineering program, or series of engineering projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Management certification and/or degree, such as MBA or PMP.


• Experience in management of program(s) within contracts at NASA, preferably GSFC.


• Direct experience with management of engineering/design projects at NASA, particularly facility-related projects.
