JOB DESCRIPTION
Your Role

The People and Engagement (P&E) Change Management and Employee Engagement team has three core impact areas: lead and execute enterprise level change efforts, holistically manage data collection, analysis and strategy on employee experience, and measuring organizational effectiveness from a human resources standpoint. The Program Manager, Change Management and Employee Engagement will report to the Senior Manager, Change Management & Employee Engagement. In this role you will facilitate integrated people strategies/plans for enterprise initiatives of significant impact. You will also apply a deep acumen in analytics to diagnose drivers of business performance and Employee experience, engaging with business leaders and partners to influence action. You will work with the Senior Manager and other stakeholders across People & Engagement to ensure our expertise and insights influence our organizational effectiveness model and our program work.

Your Work

In this role, you will:

  • Provide overall program leadership, guidance, and manage all aspects of a given program, including requirements gathering, business case creation, and implementation
  • Develop resourcing strategies to ensure optimum support for projects and for the day-to-day operational activities
  • Lead cross-functional meetings and foster teamwork; drive escalation and resolution of issues, while promoting collaboration and coordination across broad categories of stakeholders
  • Support and coach project managers within the program, while providing technical expertise in planning, execution, and leadership of program, projects, and initiatives
  • Ensure strategic direction and design of recommendations is aligned with company and business unit goals and objectives
  • Consults and makes recommendations to senior management/executives on significant issues focused on improving effectiveness at various levels within the organization
  • Leverage various data sources and resources to assess organizational effectiveness across the enterprise using quantitative and qualitative data from multiple functions including Change Management, Performance, Leadership, and Employee Experience
  • Orchestrate large-scale initiatives of significant complexity and business impact using operational key performance indicators and institutional standards in order to achieve long-term business outcomes
  • Apply core principles of Change Management and Employee Engagement to research and interventions

QUALIFICATIONS
Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Requires at least 7 years of prior relevant experience
  • Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the design, standardization and execution of processes, projects and tactics within a business area
  • Experience in Change Management, Employee Engagement, and/or organization effectiveness
  • Experience managing projects with multiple qualitative and quantitative sources
  • Experience in project management including risk management, prioritization, navigating matrix environments, critical thinking, decision making
  • Experience collaborating with and influencing the decision-making process of all levels of leadership
  • High levels of organization and detail-orientation to effectively manage complex projects and diverse stakeholder groups

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is: $ 109120.00 to $ 163680.00 for California.

Note:

Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.

Physical Requirements:

Office Environment - roles involving part to full time schedule in Office Environment. Due to the current public health emergency in California, Blue Shield employees are almost all working remotely. Based in our physical offices and work from home office/deskwork - Activity level: Sedentary, frequency most of work day.
