Creswell Clubhouse has an employment opportunity working with School Age children in a rewarding environment. This is a newly created position to support the expansion of our program with our new facility. We are seeking a highly motivated, fun loving, and experienced individual to fill the role of Program Director. The Program Director will be responsible for supervising the daily operations of the after school and summer camp programs, including over 60 children, 10 youth volunteers, and up to 15 UO staff. * Opportunity to grow position through creating new programs, classes or activities. (Examples: Pre-K programs, teen programs, Friday Night Out for kiddo’s, Saturday Open Gym, cooking class, ect.)
*Partnership with the City of Creswell provides a beautiful 4,700 square foot facility including two classrooms and a games room/gym. A new playground is scheduled to be installed in July.
* Make a huge impact! Our children live just 15 minutes from Eugene but do not have access to the same resources. Our goal is to fill this opportunity gap with clubs and activities allowing children to explore their interests, find their passions, and be fully supported emotionally, socially, and educationally.
Organization
Celebrating 14 years of service, Clubhouse is a local, rural, nonprofit Youth Development program. Children at Clubhouse are given the opportunity to fill their out-of-school time with positive, supportive, educational programs and friendships. We aim to provide a program where children have a higher ability to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. We support students through an inclusive, optimistic, and positive community “vibe”. We aim to close the rural opportunity gap by providing a wide range of clubs and activities with our University of Oregon leaders. Our program is supported by community donations, low parent fees, fundraisers, grants and business sponsorships.
Position Description
- Oversee the day to day operations of our after school and summer camp programs.
- Coordinate and supervise small group clubs and educational enrichment activities.
- Organize special events for Clubhouse and/or community children.
- Supervise UO and LCC Program Leaders and youth volunteers.
- Purchase snacks, prizes, equipment, and supplies.
- Responsible for regulating classroom and playground environment.
- Administer classroom behavior support system.
- Ensure programs and services are safe, educational and inspirational.
- Be a positive role model.
- Inspire, lead and motivate young people.
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience working with School Aged children.
- Minimum of 2 years as a School Age program lead teacher, site director, or comparable supervisory position.
- High level of organization and planning skills with ability to be flexible and prioritize.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, school staff, and community members.
- Confidence in leading groups of children in activities, having fun while setting and adhering to clear boundaries.
- A sense of humor, patience, and grace handling tough situations.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment and dedication to working with children.
- Ability to create a comfortable, safe and nurturing environment.
- Have current, or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment: Oregon Food Handler's Card, PSU Training on Child Abuse & Neglect and be First Aid/CPR Certified.
- Complete a Criminal Background Check.
Additional Desired Qualifications (not required)
- Bachelors degree, AA degree, or coursework in Education, Early Education, Family and Human Services, or related field.
- Spanish speaking a plus, but not necessary.
- Already completed the Central Background Registry process through the State of Oregon.

Hours: School Year Hours: 1:30-6pm M/T/TH/F, 12-6pm on Wednesdays (25 hours per week with opportunity for 30-40 hours if growing position) Summer: Open 7:30am-6pm M-F (30-40 hours per week)
Salary range: $20-22 per hour depending on experience
Annual Paid Leave: 2 weeks-winter break, 1 week in summer & 12 PTO
Optional retirement with 3% employer match
