The Oregon Health Authority has a fantastic opportunity for a Health Policy and Program Administrator2 with previous Public Health and Medicaid and Dentalexperience to join an excellent team and work to advance their operations.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, this position will start off fully remote with a possibility of returning to a physical office in the future.
WHAT YOU WILL DO!
As the Dental Director, you will lead, direct and determine oral health delivery systems, activities, policies and services for the Oregon Health Authority in compliance with federal and state laws, Oregon Administrative Rules, the principles of health equity, and standards for developing priorities and Programs to meet the needs Oregonians.
As the Dental Director, you will provide oral health consultation across OHA, including programmatic oversight, administration, policy, planning and execution of oral and health prevention-based activities. You will also lead the cross-agency OHA Oral Health Team, set the strategic direction for the OHA Oral Health Roadmap, and serve as the OHA Medicaid and Public Health oral health expert. Act as a liaison between OHA and Oregon's dental community, identify oral health trends nationally and statewide to determine and implement oral health care policies for the State of Oregon. A primary goal of this work is to provide the best benefits and access to Oregon's populations facing the greatest health disparities.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
  • Seven years of management experience; OR four years of management experience and a bachelor's degree in a related field.

All positions in DHS require a Criminal Background Check and an Abuse/Neglect Check. Fingerprints may be required.
  • Must be a licensed D.D.S. or D.M.D in the State of Oregon in good standing.
  • Seven (7) years of experience in dentistry.
  • Previous Medicaid experience is preferred.
  • Experience in advancing health equity, addressing systemic health disparities and collaborating with diverse, vulnerable and underrepresented populations.
  • Experience with CCO (Coordinated Care Organizations) and State of Oregon policies, procedures, Administrative Rules and legislative practices.
