Devereux is looking for a Program Director to join the team at DCBHC in Malvern, Pa. This hospitalprovides programs and services for children and adolescents who are experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis within a safe and compassionate inpatient environment.

Everyday as a Program Director you will:
Assist in the coordination and development of hospital programs and services.
Support and implement financial strategies that coincide with organizational and center goals.
Ensure adequate staffing at all times. Interviews, selects, orients and supervises employees and/or delegates responsibility where appropriate.
Uphold program requirements in regards to all regulatory, organizational and center standards of care.
Assist with the oversight of activities that enhance referral development through monitoring and assessing current processes.
Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Behavioral Health Center (DCBHC) is the only freestanding children’s Psychiatric Hospital in Chester County, Pa. We are a Joint Commission accredited psychiatric inpatient hospital providing services to children and adolescents, ages five to 18, and their families, in acute mental health crisis. Our treatment teams, which include psychiatrists, clinical case managers, nurses, teachers, licensed psychologists and clinical social workers, along with the family and child, work together to create a safe, stabilization and treatment plan that focuses on successful discharge of the child back to his or her community, or a lesser level of care. The majority of children stay at DCBHC between three days and 21 days. Diagnoses may include: suicidal gestures and attempts, cutting and self-injurious behaviors, depression, aggression, psychosis, autism spectrum disorders, and/or drug and alcohol issues.
Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) center serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), residential treatment (RTF), acute Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital (DCBHC), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with at least twelve credits hours in a human services discipline to include but not limited to psychology, sociology, social work, education, pastoral counseling, political science, health, recreation, criminal justice, counseling. Master’s degree in human services field preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five years’ experience with increasing level of supervisory responsibilities in a behavioral health-care setting. Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Applications, experience with data collection/analyzing platforms.
