The Director of Programs and Services will be responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the agency. Applicants must have experience working with the Department of Human Services ( DHS) and Office of Developmental Supports ( ODS).
This is a non – traditional schedule , and requires flexibility to ensure the daily needs and operations of the business are being met.
Responsibilities Include:
- Grow agency census by establishing beneficial relationships with referral sources and increasing referrals. Develop programming and behavioral services department.
- Maintain involvement in the community to bring awareness of agency services
- Identify, acquire, set up, license, open, and efficiently operate new homes
- Ensure all ODP Chapter 6400/6100 applicable laws and regulations are followed. Monitor all state billing and documentation systems and ensure agency compliance.
· Strength in hiring, recruiting, managing, developing, coaching, and retaining individuals and teams, empowering them to elevate their levels of responsibility, and performance. Assist with interviews and increasing workforce.
- Participate in state monitoring and compliance surveys and complete requests for qualification and related paperwork
- Develop and update policies and procedures
- Ensure all client and staff paperwork is accurate, complete, maintained, and kept updated
- Ensure all homes are kept up to code in compliance with all applicable rules and regulations, safe and well kept
- Ensure home expenses are in line with budget by establishing expense guidelines, monitoring expenditures, and tracking financial operations. Responsible for ensuring that yearly fiscal operating costs are kept in budget.
- Ensure efficient and effective operations and collaboration with external partners. Represent the agency in the community and participate in community initiatives on behalf of the agency.
- Ensure high level client satisfaction and that agency communication standards are up to date.
- Work closely with program managers and Regional Program Director to ensure proper scheduling of caregivers and solve issues that arise.
- Ensure accurate staffing of clients with caregivers based on location, time, skills/needs, and requests.
- Set – up web based documentation using therap notes for staff – monitoring daily documentation, billing, staffing ratio and accurate note taking for all billing purposes. Assist in facilitating training for staff on web based documentation
- Effectively and accurately communicate with caregivers, clients,staff, program manager and supports coordinators.
- Knowledge of 6400/6500 and chapter 51 Regulations, license and non-license programs Perform home visits and as necessary
- Complete incident reporting as necessary within reporting time frame per regulations
- Provide direct support and supervision to the Program Manager
- Must be available 24/7 to address and manage crisis both remote and in person
- Available for filling shifts in emergent situations that staffing requirements cannot be fulfilled
- Weekly meetings with Program Manager for program and staffing compliance
Educational Requirements: Master's degree preferred or Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling or other related fields .

Pay: $58,928.00 - $64,257.00 per year
