We are opening a new location, this time in Jacksonville, NC. We are looking to hire multiple positions and are aiming for a grand opening of April - May 2024.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to our animal patients and their owners. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about animals and want to make a difference in their lives.

Responsibilities:

- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures

- Provide basic pet care, including feeding, grooming, and exercise

- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians

- Perform laboratory tests and analyze samples

- Prepare animals for surgery and assist with anesthesia monitoring

- Handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the veterinary clinic

- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and preventive measures

- Assist with inventory management of medical supplies

Qualifications:

- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility is preferred

- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures

- Familiarity with animal handling techniques and restraint methods

- Ability to perform basic laboratory tests and procedures

- Strong communication skills with the ability to educate pet owners effectively

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
