Academic Affairs/Academic Innovation seeks a Program Development Analyst to work with the Provost's Office, specifically Academic Innovation, to support Program Development in terms of market research, feasibility analysis, potential employment analysis, and program outlook.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Feasibility Analysis (50%)
• Design and conduct feasibility analyses for proposed new programs or for continuing programs requiring revamping.
• Conduct assessment of market competition for proposed new programs.
• Scan available data as needed-labor market, employment outlook, IPEDS data.
Report Development (30%)
• Develop and write a variety of reports-feasibility, market research briefs, data presentation, etc.
• Develop and maintain a research repository.
• Develop and implement processes for surveys and focus interviews as needed for Program Development analysis.
Outreach and Support (20%)
• Working with the Vice President of Academic Affairs/Provost and the Associate Provost of Academic Innovation, support the work of the Program Planning and Development Team (PPDT). This work includes response to requests for information and research, provision of timely reports, and follow-up on action items from team meetings.
• Working with the Vice President of Academic Affairs/Provost and the Associate Provost, Academic Innovation, connect with academic schools and related programs to provide program research support and other relevant information for Program Development and enhancement.
• Development of templates to be used for reports and research.
• Contributes to sustaining and enhancing an inclusive working and learning environment
Requirements
Required:
• Master's degree
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant higher education experience related to data collection and analysis, marketing research, and academic Program Development.
• Working knowledge of various data sources, including IPEDS, Bureau of Labor and Statistics (BLS), employment outlook databases.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• Excellent ability to aggregate data and write research reports.
• Strong Microsoft Office knowledge and ability to apply the various tools for aggregation of data and information.
• Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
Preferred:
• Working familiarity with other technology tools-Tableau, Posit (R Studio), Qualtrix, and other research tools.
Physical Requirements:
• Work is mostly sedentary and majority of time is spent sitting
• Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
• Must be able to travel among the 3 campuses
