National Grid is hiring a Lead Program Managerto join our Electric Regulatory Development team within New England Electric. This is a hybrid role, with visits to either the Data Drive, Waltham or Bearfoot Rd, Northborough office's approximately 1-2 days per week.

Lead regulatory initiatives from concept through filing on topics surrounding the equitable delivery of the energy transition. This position collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to improve regulatory performance within the electric business. A successful candidate will have a proven track record of team management, regulatory acumen, and corporate strategy while also demonstrating strong collaboration and communication capabilities.
- Lead cross functional teams across NE Electric to learn what regulatory constraints they may be facing and strategize ways to make improvements with future filings.
- Lead the evolution of regulatory strategies concerning topics such as environmental justice communities, the energy burden on customers, and streamlining permitting.
- Engage in external working groups to stay informed of industry trends and influence where appropriate.
- Become a subject matter expert in NE Electric regulatory matters such as the rate case, Electric Sector Modernization Plan (ESMP), standalone trackers, and Service Quality.
- Lead the optimization of NE Electric's regulatory mandates with special attention to preventing overlap.
- Educate the electric business on new and existing regulatory requirements and recovery mechanisms to drive optimum performance within their parameters.
- Draft testimony for regulatory filings.
- Build relationships and engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to network internally and externally and to develop successful, long-lasting business partnerships with others.

- Bachelor's degree required (Business, Public Policy, or Engineering strongly preferred)
- 3+ years of relevant experience within the utility industry (electric, gas, water or energy space) required
- Strong organization skills
- High-level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (particularly PowerPoint and Excel)
- Project and/or process management skills
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations in a clear, concise manner to a targeted audience
- Change management and influencing skills.
Salary: $117,000 - $138,000
This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
