Responsibilities
Dignity Health is committed to providing the best possible patient care and research is a critical part of that mission. In addition to bringing the latest treatments to our patients the knowledge gained from these research studies advances the quality of care for people around the world. In this role you will be responsible for clinical trials financial services providing financial management services for business and industry-sponsored clinical trials. Services include accounting reconciliation financial reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate will be skilled in -interpreting contract budgets -developing quarterly financial reports -gathering and presenting data in a meaningful way that supports decision making -reconciling and managing revenue -issuing invoices and tracking accounts receivable and -Lawson Quickbooks and RealTime.
Position Summary:
- Serves as Pre and/or Post Award Specialist in the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP).
- Maintains knowledge of and manages submissions for new and amended sponsored projects throughout the pre and post award processes in accordance with institutional guidelines.
- Manages a high task volume by employing project management principles to problem-solve and independently prioritize projects.
- Responsible for project financial analysis contract/budget negotiation timely review cycles clinical trial billing compliance document harmonization transparent workflows and ensuring contract milestones are adequately documented to increase revenue integrity.
- Other responsibilities include but are not limited to developing policies working instructions and training methodologies; training and education of colleagues; and facilitation of internal/external partners to develop solutions and streamline processes.
- Activities include cross-functional partnerships with investigators therapeutic division research program managers operations managers IRB regulatory specialists research staff multiple internal/external departments vendors sponsors awarding agencies and collaborators.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a legal or research environment in a business hospital judicial or university setting.
- Associate Degree or equivalent job related experience.
- Proficient in Word and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Exhibits professionalism and advanced critical thinking skills to solve problems independently.
Preferred:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in clinical research financial management in an university or hospital setting with demonstrated knowledge of research budgets research patient billing coverage analysis research grants management general accounting and other financial processes.
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare accounting finance and or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current CITI training certificate or ability to complete within 6 months.
- Certificate in Healthcare Research Compliance (CHRC)
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks software.
- Has general knowledge of basic contracting principles revenue cycle management and payor coverage analysis
Pay Range
$30.55 - $44.30 /hour
