Have familiarity with government offices, regulators, and healthcare organizations, including hospitals, providers, government offices, or insurance companies. Have experience with Community Health Center (CHC), Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), or other healthcare systems focused on those with low income and/or barriers to equitable healthcare. Have experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer) and Adobe Acrobat, with internet research skills and familiarity with web-based tools. Experience with SharePoint is advantageous.Essential functions and Roles and Responsibilities: Assists in Medicare Strategy committee meetings, ensuring timely distribution of materials, agendas, take minutes, and follows up with action items. Supports Medicare product design and renewal teams by assisting with applications, filings, annual bids, state contracts amendments, and operational readiness. Conducts online research to enhance market and competitor analysis, industry trends experience for Medicare growth and retention.* Supports the team in government relations, including with our regulatory counterparts with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA), and other agencies.
Includes attending monthly meetings, ensuring timely response to inquiries, and assisting coordination of needed deliverables. Tracks government announcements and provide operational awareness through sharing webinars, call letters, and similar guidance. Supports Medicare Material and Contractual Renewal by translating product design and renewal into member documents and ensuring operational readiness. Ensures timely and accurate responses to internal staff and regulatory agency inquiries. Identifies and implements process improvements, fostering continuous development. Continuous development of knowledge in Medicare and Medicaid programs, promoting health equity for all communities, and translating regulatory guidance and organizational goals into actionable plans for the team and individuals.
