Job Description
The Program Coordinatorprovidessupport to Sales, Account Management, and Operations teams by ensuring completeness and accuracy onprograms. They serve as the primary operational supportbetweenSales, Account Management andOperationsteams for reviewing sold and requested components of an itinerary,developingand reviewingtravelitinerariesand contributing to the oversight and review of tools used for itinerary content. Goals center aroundmaintainingoperational deadlines,growingsalesand maximizing customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with Sales, Account Management, and Product Delivery teams tooptimizeProgram Development functions and ensure theappropriate processes, systems, andcontrols are in place to price and produce high-evaluated, top-quality programs with healthy margins and quick turnaround times.
  • Supports Sales and Account Management teamswith drafting and reviewing itineraries,handlingitinerary changes, tour customizations, general destination/product information, answers to pricing and itinerary specifics, and special requests by using knowledge of program destinations and/or communicating with Product Delivery teams.
  • Acts as liaison between Production and Sales/Account Management teams, ensuring that internal business rules and product standards are upheld.Uses knowledge ofproducts and systems to assist in improvements to operational efficiency and tour itineraries.
  • Reviews pricing details to draft itineraries to ensure customer expectations are met and within budgets.
  • Contributes to oversight and review of tour writing resources
  • Works with the Program Management team to develop, update andimplement internal processes, rules and procedures based on the needs of the business.
  • Providessupport on other projects and tasks as requested by management. May be assigned responsibilities related to program development, pricing, or product delivery/management.
  • Prepares status updates or reports for manager asappropriate.
  • Maintain knowledge of company policies and procedures so as to serve as an effective staff member.
  • Support company policies and management decisions with a sense of urgency and professionalism.
  • Foster communication within the department, with other departments, and with management.
  • Seek out andparticipatein internal and external programs thatfacilitatepersonal and professional growth.
  • Identifyand discuss personal and professional growth goals with management.
  • Write performance appraisals onanquarterly basis to be reviewedwith manager.
  • Attendandcontributeto team meetings (Program Management/Product Delivery/Sales/etc.).
  • Develop andmaintaina culture of teamwork, positive communication, and fulfilling the WorldStrides mission.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Capable ofmaintaininga high levelof productionandadhering to strict deadlines

  • Ability to workindependently, yetcollaborateregularly with multiple teams.
  • Concern for how decisions impact customer experience and the bottom line.
  • General understanding of thetourism and travelindustry, preferablygrouptraveland/or theWorldStridesbusiness model.
  • Knowledge of domestic destinationssuch asWashington, D.C, New York, Williamsburg and more,with some international travel experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce helpful.

Travel Requirements:

  • Some travel to otherWorldStridesoffices may berequired; no more than once per year.
  • Periodic travel requirements to program destinations.
