The Transition to Organic Partnership Program (TOPP) supports transitioning and organic producers with mentorship and resources. Mentorship, workshops, webinars, field days, technical assistance, and other educational events will offer opportunities to learn about organic crop and livestock production , the certification process, market opportunities, and more.
As the Program Coordinator I, you will:
- Encourage the transition to Organic Farming through outreach and educational activities.
- Coordinate community events, statewide training opportunities and create educational materials.
- Network with staff and faculty on campus and partners within the public and private sector to provide the farming community with the expertise needed to overcome barriers to transitioning to Organic Farming.
- Educate the public about the benefits of Organic Farming (economic, environmental, and social).
- Perform additional duties including, but not limited to, writing annual funding report and assisting with securing funding from public, private, and non-profit organizations to further the work of the program.
This position is based at the Eastern Nebraska Research, Extension and Education Center near Mead and Ithaca, NE; within 30 minutes of both Omaha and Lincoln.

Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or any agriculture-related field, plus one year of experience in program coordination and teaching roles required.
Posted Salary $18.26/hr minimum
