Schuyler Community Schools is seeking applicants for the following position: Schuyler Elem After-School Program Coordinator/Business Liaison. This position is for the 2023-2024 school year. We accept seven years experience and graduate hours. Salary depends on level of education and years of experience. The base salary for 2022-23 was $37,500 with fully paid insurance.

Job Description:
The main responsibility of the coordinator is to assist the After-school Program Director with daily duties. This would involve working closely with the director to ensure the smooth functioning of the after-school program.
The coordinator will also be responsible for performing a variety of duties that are designed to maintain relationships with community businesses, exchange information, and promote the after-school program. This would involve collaborating with community businesses to build partnerships and identify opportunities for the program. Additionally, the coordinator would also need to stay up-to-date with relevant community events and activities, and represent the after-school program at these events.
Overall, the coordinator plays a crucial role in the success of the after-school program by working closely with the director, building relationships with community businesses, and promoting the program within the community. The hours for this position are 9:30 - 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Essential functions and responsibilities of the Schuyler Elem After-school Program Coordinator/Business Liaison position:
The coordinator is responsible for a wide range of duties, including providing supervision to individuals or groups of students enrolled in the after-school program and interacting with students to keep them engaged in various activities. The coordinator will also be responsible for maintaining attendance and records, answering and directing phone calls, and organizing and coordinating meetings.
In addition, the coordinator will assist with planning and conducting an orientation program for parents and students regarding the program's policies and procedures. They will also be responsible for promoting positive behaviors and professionalism, completing annual training hours, and building relationships with community partners, parents, teachers, and students.
The coordinator must be a self-starter and able to perform the job with little supervision. They must also have the ability to maintain confidentiality of student information, follow written and oral instructions, and comply with school age childcare guidelines. Additionally, they should have knowledge of effective methods of managing, caring for, and promoting positive behaviors with children.
The coordinator should be or will be trained in First Aid and CPR for school-age children, playground safety, and able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally. They must also have good judgment and effective problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Finally, the coordinator must uphold and enhance the public image of the district in any contact with the public and perform related duties and responsibilities as requested by the after-school program director and the principal.
