TheProgram Coordinator I (Migrant and Refugee Services) (MRS) coordinates services provided for clients prior to arrival in the United States. Specifically, this position coordinates volunteer activities and job development activities; assists with facilitation of training for clients and the community; coordinates dotation reception and administration; supports the Program Director in the billing and financial records for MRS grants; and assists the Program Director in providing leadership and training to staff regarding financial records, volunteer activities and donations. Position may from time to time be stressful and require a high demand of performance. May perform other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Perform monthly monitoring and documentation of all program expenditures and donations.
- Supports the Program Director with monthly billing activities.
- Coordinates services prior refugees' arrival in the United States, to include: purchasing materials; securing in-kind donations for clients in accordance with contractual requirements; and assisting with housing and apartment move-ins, to include communicating with property managers and utility companies.
- Overseeing program operations, including the maintenance of records and data, as well as the maintenance of the vehicles assigned to the MRS program to provide adequate services to clients.
- Monitors client account balances during the reception and placement period.
- Create electronic files in accordance with contract requirements.
- In coordination with the Lead Case Manager, organizes client files and storage.
- In coordination with the Lead Case Manager, reviews and contracts monitoring activities.
- Maintains case records and documentation for clients; completes required weekly and monthly documentation.
- Assists with the completion of program reports.
- Participates in case consultations and staffing.
- Mentors Job developer positions and holds a caseload to assist in job development.
- Assists with facilitation of training for clients and the community.
- Supports the Program Director with the recruiting and training of volunteers who provide direct services to refugees.
- Monitors and generates reports on volunteers' monthly activities.
- Provide information, resources and referrals to clients, staff and volunteers.
- Accommodates flexible program scheduling and is open to change.
- May drive agency or personal vehicle on company business.
- May perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Suitable work experience may be considered as transferable skills in order to meet the minimum requirements of the position and will be considered by the Corporate Director of Human Resources.
- Associate Degree in business, social work or related field.
- Two years of experience in refugee resettlement and/or working with immigrants.
- Excellent data entry skills (speed and accuracy).
- Proven computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven strong communication skills - oral and written communications are clear, concise, and in an organized fashion using appropriate grammar style and tone.
- Obtain CPR and First Aid training (employer paid).
- Proven record of working effectively with families of varied lifestyles, backgrounds and ethnicities.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. up to 20% of the time.
- Ability to stoop, bend, climb and reach.
REGULATORY
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver license, proof of insurance, and 39-month motor vehicle report.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card (employer paid).
- Pass pre-employment drug screen (incudes marijuana, regardless of recreational use laws) (employer paid).
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor Degree in business or related field.
- Additional years of directly-related experience.
- Multilingual, verbal and written.
