OVERVIEW
The Program Coordinator will collaborate with key programs to ensure clients are able to access needed services. This includes overseeing transportation routes schedules as well as transporting passengers to and from various healthcare and social services, assisting with airport pick-ups, and following scheduled routes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assign routes to scheduled drivers;
- Ensure that vehicles are properly maintained for safety and compliance of state laws;
- Ensure that all vehicles have proper registration and insurance documentation and inform Field Office Director or leadership of any missing or expired documentation;
- Complete assigned route on schedule while stopping at all stops;
- Safely transport passengers to and from appointments;
- Report all mechanical issues to manager immediately;
- Obey all state laws;
- Maintain a clean and sanitary vehicle at all times; and
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have a valid driver's license, insurance, clean driving record and personal transportation;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to organize, prioritize, and work independently as well as in collaboration with others is required;
- Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with providers, vendors, and clients of diverse backgrounds;
- Must have dedication to human rights of refugees, immigrants, asylum seekers, and displaced people; and
- Good sense of humor and pleasant, diplomatic manner is desired.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity.
- Use of repetitive motion, prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and sustained visual and mental applications and demands.
- Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds), bending, pulling, and carrying.
