Program Assistant, Warriors Basketball Academy

About the Position
The role of Program Assistant, Warriors Basketball Academy requires a high level of enthusiasm with a passion for sports and the game of basketball. In this role, you will play a key role in the execution of the Warriors Basketball Academy programs. Additionally, you will help establish a fun, safe, healthy, and community-focused culture that delivers high participant satisfaction and achieves maximum profitability. This position reports to the Manager, Warriors Basketball Academy.

This is a full-time position based onsite in Oakland, CA.
Key Responsibilities

• Assist with program implementation, execution, and event preparation
• Manage inventory of camp supplies, merchandise, autographed items and prizes
• Provide outstanding service by consistently communicating with customers and becoming an authority on all programs and services offered
• Assist with communication and distribution of all camp tickets and/or ticket credit redemption
• Assist with marketing & promotion of all Academy programming, including flyer distribution, web, social, email/CRM, digital, etc.
• Use registration platform to maintain participant databases, manage user profiles, and compile participant data reports and demographics
• Lead a variety of the camps, clinics, GSW events and customized training programs; participate in event set-up and breakdown
• Serve as lead for customized training at Oakland facility, includes facilitating sessions and "training the trainers"
• Oversee facility opening and closing procedures on assigned weekdays and weekends
• Research and compile master list of youth programs, schools & district schedules throughout the Bay Area
• Assist with day-to-day Junior Warriors partner needs and the recruitment of new partners
• Create new opportunities to engage with fans and partners through basketball experiences; create and develop programs that are designed to increase participation for underrepresented groups
• Develop a broad basketball network; cultivate relationships with individuals and organizations that impact the youth basketball landscape
• Participate in staff assessments for part-time staff
• Other duties as assigned

Time Commitment

• Ability to work select nights, weekends and holidays as needed

Compensation

• $20.00 per hour + Bonus + Commission
