The Educational Enrichment Foundation (EEF) is seeking a strategic and analytical thinker with a strong work ethic to complement our small diverse team who are passionate about equitable educational opportunities for K-12 students in TUSD.  

This Program Assistant is an hourly, full-time position in a small office environment. This team member works primarily with our internal staff, TUSD liaisons, and program supporters. We do not interact directly with TUSD students/families except during occasional events or through phone surveys.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Primarily support the Program Manager by assisting with incoming program requests and administration, appointment scheduling, program-related research, surveys, and analytic program reporting.

  • Maintain EEF’s databases (Excel and Aplos) with accurate customer information.
  • Develop analytical reports to prove effectiveness, reach, and efficiency of our programs.
  • Create graphics and charts to demonstrate program impact over time.
  • Proactively research and assemble relevant information for reports and board meetings.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the EEF Team to ensure organizational success.
  • Participate in EEF Team meetings and follow-through on action items.
  • Assist with signature Luncheon event planning and tracking.
  • Positively advocate and promote the work of EEF.

REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will demonstrate competence in the following areas:

Administrative Expertise: Must possess strong computer skills (MS Outlook, Google docs, Word, Excel) including performing precise numerical calculations, accurate sorting, chart creation, and logic functions in Excel. Ability to systematically organize and manage electronic and hard copy files ensuring efficient and effective office functions. Ability to effectively meet the demands of a small office – setting priorities, following procedures and processes, and participating at all levels to ensure the team’s success. Experience with Wix website administration is a plus.

Task Management: Ability to successfully manage multiple projects with various deadlines and prepare high quality deliverables on time. Complete general organizational tasks that support the efforts of EEF’s programs, campaigns, and events.

Communications and Customer Service: Must have a pleasant phone presence and be able to communicate effectively in person and by phone. Ability to provide friendly, prompt, and appropriate responses to stakeholders seeking information or help from EEF. Must be comfortable initiating phone calls to schedule appointments and conduct surveys of program recipients and school personnel. Ability to communicate effectively in writing with everyday business email correspondence.

Individual Initiative and Self-Management: Be a dependable self-starter who manages work assignments and responsibilities with minimal supervision. Possesses good judgement and know when to ask for guidance or clarification. Must exhibit a “can-do” attitude in resolving issues and demonstrate a strong work ethic, commitment, and a flexible disposition. Ability to work in a small office setting in a team environment with confidence, reliability, and integrity.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

·      Minimum 2 years of related administrative experience in non-profit or similar industry.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, with strong Excel spreadsheet skills.
  • College degree a plus. High school diploma required.
  • Event coordination and fundraising experience a plus.
  • Ability to be self-sufficient and demonstrate good judgement.
  • Passion and commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children through equitable educational opportunities.
  • Familiarity with TUSD and Tucson community preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

 Schedule and Benefits:

  • Work schedule M-F, 8:00am to 4:30pm Two remote days per week once work is mastered. Special evenings/weekends.
  • 10 company-paid holidays plus 4 paid Winter holidays.
  • Accrued vacation and sick time.
  • Monthly $40 phone reimbursement
  • Medical, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, and other benefits.
  • Pay range $16 - $18 an hour DOE
