This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Deputy Commandant for Mission Support (DCMS), Assistant Commandant for Human Resources (CG-1), Strategy & Capability Office (CG-1B), Human Systems Integration (CG-1B3), in Washington, DC.
Qualifications:To be considered at the GS-12 level: Applicant must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the federal service. Examples of specialized experience include: Planning, preparing and conducting Human Factors research; Utilizing a range of administrative laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to the administration of one or more programs; Applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of programs; Conducting projects and studies to evaluate and recommend ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of work operations.
To be considered at the GS-13 level: Applicant must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal service. Examples of specialized experience include: Utilizing qualitative and/or qualitative methods for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness or the improvement of complex management processes and systems; Utilizing a range of administrative laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to the administration of one or more programs; Planning, preparing and conducting Human Factors research; Preparing, conducting and coordinating evaluations or study plans, with cost estimates, for programs in response to customers needs using appropriate principles and practices.
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
