Gentis Solutions is seeking a Professional Lab Technician to join our team. This contract-to-hire position is with one of our clients interested in full-time consultants. Requirements
- 2 or more years science degree
- Ability to work on multiple tasks

- Accurate record-keeping skills

Desirable Skills
- Good attendance history
- Excellent safety record and awareness
- Demonstrated computer skills for lab instrument operation programs
- Familiarity with current commercial software applications (Excel, Word)
- Experience with lab documentation
- Experience with operating standard lab equipment (pH meter, balances, and spectrophotometer)
- Demonstrates sufficient math skills to perform calculations associated with lab testing
- Previous plant experience
Typical Duties
- Prepare process and finished product samples
- Perform analytical testing using instrumental and wet chemistry procedures
- Record results using computerized data systems
- Perform daily process monitoring tests throughout the plant as assigned
- Maintain samples of tested products for confirmation if necessary
- Document results of all testing procedures and notify operations of required adjustments
- Enter and report data using a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
- Understand most production processes required in the production of the product
- Make recommendations to operators to achieve product quality
- Perform light maintenance and calibration on all ADM laboratory equipment
- Maintain ongoing records of testing results and input such data into the computer daily
- Maintain adequate supplies for testing procedures and notify the supervisor of the need to reorder
- Continually compare equipment readouts with samples of standards to ensure accurate operation
- Maintain a neat and clean working area at all times, washing equipment as required, and placing equipment in the proper storage areas
- Maintain an effective working relationship with fellow employees
- Perform duties in a safe manner, utilizing all approved safety equipment, and successfully complete all safety certification requirements
- Maintain awareness and adhere to all FDA, GMP, BATF, EPA, OSHA, and employer standards and guidelines
