Nebraska Cancer Specialists is seeking an experienced and compassionate Medical Lab Technologist or Technician to join the NCS team!  This position is responsible for obtaining, processing, running tests on samples of oncology patients ensuring quality control.

 

This position is part-time with daytime hours, no weekends or holidays.  $1000 Sign On Bonus

Primary Duties 

  • Performing phlebotomy to obtain blood samples from patients
  • Operating laboratory equipment to perform testing on patient samples for oncology and clinical trials
  • Prepares lab orders and labels
  • Assists with bone marrow biopsy procedures and processes specimens
  • Reads and reports manual differentials as indicated
  • Interprets lab results for patients
  • Obtains and interprets quality control data, charts and documents results
  • Educates patients on specimen collection

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associative degree in Medical Technology required.
  • Medical Technologist (ASCP) or MLT (ASCP).
  • Two years experience in laboratory preferred.
