Job Description
Position Purpose
This position will help to provide training for all new staff, guidance on internal processes, implementing policy through SOP and assisting with refresher for staff meetings. Assist with maintaining compliance with OCDEL policies and make recommendations based on operational needs of ELRC.
Duties & Responsibilities
Program Implementation:
• Trains new staff to ensure compliance with OCDEL standards and internal policies.
• Works with Quality Assurance Specialist in planning targeted areas needed for training
• Maintains confidentiality of protected customer and program information
Collaboration & Teamwork:
• Works with ELRC team in assisting with daily workflow of team to efficiently and effectively service our client’s needs
• Assists with ELRC team meetings to continue training for all staff (refreshers as needed)
Data Management:
• Enter data into Pelican and scan upload documents into portals
• Maintain current and accurate records and case notes
• Maintain tracking as needed for required OCDEL reporting.
Continuous Quality & Performance Improvement:
• Assists with the development, planning and implementation of the training process for new staff
• Review policy to ensure training format and practices are current
Planning & Organizing:
• Assist with team coverage when staff are out
• Assists to evaluate internal processes and make recommendations on how to improve as needed
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services or related field, or high school diploma with two years’ experience in training staff and process planning and implementation
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proven track record of maintaining a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relations with clients, customers, co-workers and supervisors
• Ability to develop a supportive, empowering culture for diverse members of the community
