Family And Child Development Specialist

Professional Family Care Services is looking for individuals who are passionate about helping families meet the developmental and educational needs of their young children in our Early Head Start program.

The Family and Child Development Specialist, guides and coaches families through the challenges and stressors of parenting infants and toddlers. Through regular in- home visits the Specialist builds a healthy helping relationship with the parents to help them access resources and abilities to ensure that their children have the screenings and services that promote healthy growth and development

Work is in a family friendly, safe comfortable office environment and in homes in the community. In a 40-hour week; a flexible schedule and generous Paid Time Off allow for the ideal work/life balance. Free medical, dental vision and life insurance is offered to all full-time employees.

Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 – 4:30 with occasional work in the evenings to meet the schedules of the families. Professional Family Care Services focuses on the success and satisfaction of our employees and offers training, supervision, and support.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a field related to Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Family Studies or related Human Services field. The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, is compassionate, empathetic, flexible, organized and demonstrates professionalism.

Candidates must have a valid PA Driver’s License, clean driving record and Acts 33, 34 and FBI clearances.
