Position Summary
The Production Technician (Technician) will support all daily activities related to operating, maintaining, and documenting any of the production processes. The Technician will assist with all production activities and maintain a highly organized and hygienic facility as this role places high importance on safety and conformity to SOPs and other internal processes.
Position Specific Responsibilities
• Learn and perform all duties under compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices
• Operate production equipment in a safe and efficient manner; maintain and inspect equipment and raw material, following all applicable policies and procedures
• Pull test samples for batches and handle responsibility consistently, timely, and accurately
• Label, weigh, and package products for inventory, accurately recording data and depletion of plant material, chemicals and other supplies
• Maintain accurate inventory numbers
• Utilize and ensure compliance with quality systems such as cleaning records, equipment logs, batch records, deviation reports, etc.
• Load, unload, and run production equipment according to SOP
• Support the development and refinement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and continuous process improvement projects
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships and communication with peers and supervisors, including sharing ideas/suggestions for and/or concerns with production processes to leadership
• Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols, correctly using all provided PPE, reporting any facility or employee-related safety issues to management
• Use excellent time management skills and demonstrate comfort working in a fast-paced
environment
• Work closely with supervisor to learn general leadership and management skills, responsibilities and expectations
• Ability to adhere to work schedule, which may include weekends, holidays, and overtime
Education and Experience
• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous cGMP and/or manufacturing experience preferred; food industry experience preferred
• Basic computer proficiency; able to record and enter data, utilize email and training resources
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and be self-motivated to achieve high quality results
• Mechanically inclined with experience monitoring and operating equipment and basic hand and power tools (i.e. wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, drills, grinders, etc.)
• Familiar with high-pressure systems, distillation equipment and similar process equipment preferred
• Possess high attention to detail and the ability to maintain precise documentation
• Demonstrate high sense of urgency and ownership of assigned tasks
• Ability to learn and follow cGMP, HACCP, OSHA, and other regulatory and safety requirements
• Able to achieve forklift certification while working at GenCanna

Pay Details: $18.00 to $19.00 per hour
