Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

$118,800.00 - $196,000.00

What Is the Opportunity?

As a member of Enterprise Architecture and Emerging Technology, you'll be joining a strategic and collaborative team that is passionate about transforming our business and technology capabilities and paving the way for best-in-class solutions.

As an Architect within the Enterprise Data & Analytics architecture organization, you will collaborate with senior Technology and Business leaders and apply your knowledge of modern technology to influence and innovate solutions that impact the business. In this role we will look to you to:

- Design of the next generation information architecture that enables a business vision

- Be an expert in one or more areas across the Data & Analytics domain including data storage (Data Lake & Data Warehouse), data integration, business intelligence, artificial intelligence & machine learning

- Able to drive and design solutions for data governance and management. Knowledgeable with data lineage creation, capture and integration. Experienced with meta data management, batch and real-time data quality solutions and products, audit/balance and controls solutions design.

- Have knowledge of data accessibility, ownership and domain models

- Drive the implementations of domain driven designs of Data Models, Data APIs and Data Products

- Partner with cloud and security architects, data and software engineers to implement cutting-edge but pragmatic solutions that will enable business outcomes with data and Analytics using a combination of deep technical skills, business acumen, and strong interpersonal skills

- Keep up with marketing trends in the Data & Analytics area and identify new opportunities of technologies & solutions; you will be part of the team driving the technology selection and partner with an engineering team to conduct proof of technologies

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

+ Architecture responsibility within a segment of Technology Architecture in support of the Enterprise Data & Analytics business unit

+ Partner with business leadership to identify problems, and opportunities for governance with a focus on Data

+ Participate in technology proof of concepts to ensure feasibility of architecture solutions

+ Hands-on prototyping of new technology solutions

+ Partner with Data or Software Engineering to execute proof of technologies

+ Provides architecture direction for engineers in support of a technical pattern

+ Strong thought leadership in pursuit of modern architecture principals and technology modernization

+ Drives continuous technology transformation to minimize technical debt

+ Create a partnership with Software Engineering

+ Looks for opportunities to capitalize on technology advances through analysis of key industry and technology trends to assess potential impact on the enterprise

+ Participates in defining target state technology architecture and roadmaps

+ Ensures alignment of IT initiatives with the target state

+ Organizational experience in an agile operating model

+ Established work in proof of concepts and technology

+ Strong proven Data Engineering experience

+ Supports technology target state, roadmaps that aligned to Short- and Long-term business goals

+ Insurance technology experience desired

+ Knowledge of analytics and architecture concepts for Guidewire on premise and cloud products.

+ A grasp of value creation and business capability models

+ Innovation and Continuous Improvement

+ Has hands on experience in build strategies, roadmaps and solution architecture in the last 3 years

+ Strong experience architecting big data solutions using Data Lake, Data Warehouse , Data Products

+ Champion of data technologies in areas of data integration and Business Intelligence

+ Expertise architecting and developing solutions in AWS, Snowflake and Databricks

+ Experience in AWS components including: Lambda, Kinesis/Firehose, Airflow, Glue, Spark, EC2, SageMaker, S3, NoSQL database and API Gateway

+ Experience in data streaming technologies

+ Experience with No SQL and GraphQL technologies

+ Experience in Data Modeling, Governance and Data Management

+ Experience with specific DevOps and MLOps (Machine Learning) practices

+ Cloud Architecture Certification (AWS, GCP, or Azure) or strong architecture experience on Cloud

+ Partner with Data Governance and Management to enable data lineage, audit/balance/control, data domain and data quality projects.

+ Good understanding of security

What is a Must Have?

+ Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in work experience.

+ Five years of experience in engineering software or analytic applications within a line of business area
