OVERVIEW
The Production Technician II is responsible for supporting the day-to-day production operations and completing routine to moderately complex procedures under the direction of the Production Supervisor, Production Manager, and / or the Assoc. Director of Production.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs final batch record review before the product moves forward in production
Performs production related duties that require specialized training
Prepares the necessary products for next day production
Maintains equipment in proper working order, which may include calibrating
Assists Documentation Department with troubleshooting any formulation deviations
Conducts routine to complex procedures, such as preparation of media, dispensing, labeling or washing vessels
Collaborates with manager, supervisor, team lead and team members daily to meet product deadline
Follows all Standard Operating Procedures for assigned tasks and area
Responsible for maintaining appropriate training schedule as it pertains to their primary occupational duties.
Maintains accurate inventory of materials (raw materials, containers, hosing, and any other materials necessary for the completion of assigned tasks) and assists with proper ordering to ensure sufficient amounts are retained
Accurately records all completion data into the appropriate database, and / or appropriately completes all necessary paperwork in real-time.
Learns new procedures and accepts new assignments within reasonable timeframes, to be agreed upon by the employee and supervisor
Recognizes problems; troubleshoots malfunctions in procedures and uses alternative methods if available
Requirements
EDUCATION
High school level chemistry and / or applicable lab experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 1 - 2 years of related experience
Background in Chemistry or related science preferred
Has good understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a range of tasks
Ability to work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice
Good interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
Ability to perform mathematical calculations on basic dilutions and conversions
Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
Ability to frequently stand and walk
Must be able to walk, bend, carry, lift, push and pull 25 pounds
