Description
You will be mainly involved with Production Test and debug of several models of new and field-returned high-power amplifiers. As part of this, you will follow written procedures to operate many types of test equipment which may reside on a lab bench or a test rack. For units which do not pass the testing process, you will use your experience and curiosity to troubleshoot the problem to the component level, and then take appropriate actions to fix the problems. To be effective at this, you will have to be adept at learning how the products work and to collaborate with others to ramp-up to a good working knowledge of our products and test processes. You will document all failures and steps taken to fix the problems. In some cases, you may have ideas on how to improve the test and debug process and you will have to use your written and verbal communication skills to convey this information. You will also be expected to support design engineers on new product development, which involves bring-up, design verification testing and documentation.
Education and Experience
Minimum Required: Electronics Trade School degree and at least 3 years’ experience in a relevant industry. Must be able to demonstrate reading comprehension, ability to execute test instructions and troubleshooting approach skills during an on-site interview. Must be organized and pay attention to details.
Desirable Additional Traits: Experience with High Power Amplifiers (HPAs), RF testing in HF/VHF/UHF bands, Digital and Power Supply testing, EMI/EMC testing, ESS testing (Temp, Vibe, Burn-In), Automated Test Equipment, and IPC soldering certified.
