Qualifications
Summary of this Role
The supervisor is responsible for meeting customer expectations by ensuring that all orders are shipped in a timely manner. She/he manages the production department and its employees. The job function covers all operational aspects of the production floor.
Responsibilities

• Manage individual departments to ensure work flow is being maintained and that the department is at its most efficient.
• Direct staff as necessary
• Participate in on-going communication with other supervisors and members of the management team.
• Participate in staff evaluations
• Manage assigned employee schedules.
• Approve and edit assigned employee's time cards and payroll requests.
• Define goals for individual assigned departments. Communicate department goals to the staff and assist the staff in achieving those goals.
• Manage behavior issues using critical analysis and corrective action.
• Appropriately discipline staff as needed and with the assistance of Human Resources when necessary.
• Maintain an up-to-date awareness of the company's policies and procedure.
• Motivate staff and participate in continued growth and development of the production team.
• Ensure that the department is producing quality product.
• Identify areas of improvement within assigned departments and implement changes to processes and procedures as necessary.
• Ensure that all equipment is working order. Report equipment failures to maintenance immediately.

Necessary Education and Training
Minimum of a High School Diploma
1 year of management expirience
