Gen GasSite Supervisor Roles and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Gen GasSite Supervisor within our Operations team located at Elko, NV onsite plant. Two Site Supervisors are responsible for all phases of operation for a single Oxygen Generator servicing the Gold Mining Industry located North of Carlin, NV. A company vehicle is provided with this position for travel to and from work site. This position requires limited local travel for outages and support.
The Gen Gas Supervisor will be required to understand all aspects of the sites' responsibilities including safe execution of plant operation, plant maintenance, process and operational troubleshooting, customer interface and communications with a specific focus on leadership and operating skills for these facilities.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- A self-starter with demonstrated leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to put safety first by taking ownership of our Basic Safety Performance (BSP) compliance and EH&S standards to ensure the protection of personnel, the community and environment
- Prior plant operating knowledge with experience in SAP or similar maintenance programs
- Track record of excellent communication skills with internal support teams and external customers
- Understanding plant responsibilities including, all maintenance and operations activities, on-call duties; managing the plant's efficiency and budgets and driving continuous improvement
- Ability to lead employee involvement, teamwork and diversity initiatives
- Understanding of instrumentation and electrical systems preferred
Education and Licensing Requirements:
- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of hands- on industrial experience with cryogenic experience being a plus
- MSHA training is required and will be provided to the successful candidate if not currently certified
Work Hours & Benefits: This site is currently operated and maintained by two Site Supervisors and a qualified local contractor as needed. Work hours are typically
M-F 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. with occasional after hour requirements. Candidate must be willing to work indoors or out and be able to stand for an extended period of time, lift 50 lbs. and be comfortable with heights. These plants, located at the customer sites, will have remote access including remote troubleshooting, remote operations, and alarm management while not on site. The successful candidate will be required to support an additional two-man team at the Winnemucca, NV. site also located in Northern Nevada. A seasoned AP employee will provide extensive training.
