Title: Production Supervisor - Evening

Location: Bethlehem, PA
A rapidly growing packaging manufacturer is seeking a Production Supervisor for its expanded production facility in Bethlehem, PA. The successful applicant will have a proven track record of great communication and organizational skills and an ability to communicate with coworkers in a cross-cultural work environment. The ability to work night shift is a must.
Basic responsibilities:
Responsible for the safe and efficient day-to-day operation on a 5-day-per-week night shift (Monday - Friday) within the plant.
- Provide leadership to the shift to ensure fair and consistent application of processes and procedures are administered across all operation.
- Ensure that production schedules are met by deploying appropriate resources while managing labor costs to productivity standards set by the production department.
Additional requirements:
- Facilitate continuous improvement activity through the utilization of Lean Manufacturing tools. Initiate corrective/preventive and continuous improvement opportunities through defined/document channels.
- Execute training program for assigned personnel and monitor employee progress; set performance expectations, provide coaching and feedback to employees.
- Maintain quality system, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Work with internal customers to improve overall processes to increase product quality and productivity.
- Communicate regularly with plant personnel to maintain a high level of morale.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Five years of experience in manufacturing operations & Operations management in a technically oriented (plastics or paper preferred) industrial setting.
- Demonstrated success in continuous improvement activities.
- Strong Safety knowledge including OSHA regulations.
- Computer literate.
