JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant Production Supervisor monitors and supervises all related areas of the Production department as assigned by the Supervisor.
JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Responsible for and may be called on to perform any or all duties assigned to lead persons by the company
- In charge of performing supervisory duties as assigned by the Supervisor
- Responsible for assuming and performing all supervisory duties as designated by the company, in the absence of the supervisor

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
- Frequent to constant standing, walking
- Occasional to frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling climbing
- Occasional carrying of product from 5 pounds to 50 pounds
- Occasional to frequent repetitive hand motions (i.e., writing)
- High degree of pressure to meet production schedules
- Constant exposure top product fumes such as onions, peppers, etc.
- Exposure to chemicals such as chlorine etc.
- Constant exposure to varying degrees of temperature 45 degrees or less
- Work overtime as required
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience required
- Possess verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in fresh produce and production environment
- Must have own transportation
- Must have a working knowledge of English language
- Basic Mathematical abilities
- Ability to interact across departments
- Ability to train staff on safety requirement and enforce safety requirements
- Day shift schedule
- Weekend availability
