Essential Job Functions

• Responsible for providing management direction and support in overseeing the daily operations of the TCCA chemical process area to ensure operations are consistent with the production demands of the facility, ensuring the health and safety of employees, efficiency and adherence to the processes and maintaining quality standards.
• Responsible for scheduling raw materials and interacting with suppliers and purchasing to secure alternative supplies when normal sources are interrupted. This needs to be done proactively to maintain appropriate tank levels on -site to not impact production.
• Responsible for “first call” for plant situations.
• Initiate &/or recommend improvements in facilities, equipment, and manpower utilization to improve product quality and productivity while lower operating and maintenance costs.
• Conduct routine administrative work i.e., develop weekly hourly work schedules, vacation schedule, timecard approvals, training schedules, employee recognition, monitoring attendance, etc.
• Responsible for scheduling PM requirements, outages, turnaround and equipment overhaul in order to not negatively impact production production.
• Updates P&ID, SOI and OJT, oversees training and conduct certification of new employees and recertification of senior employees.
• Lead and direct Operators by providing opportunity, guidance, and resources for them to solve operating problems and develop better operator skills as individuals.
• Attend daily shift transition meetings with updates and clean hand-offs to the on-coming supervisor.
• Maintain daily production graphs, generate month end reports, track downtime and production losses complete supervisor logs to ensure learnings are shared across shifts and ability to problem solve changes as occur.
• Trouble shoots operations problems and develop procedures, when necessary, to resolve or circumvent problems, includes following the Management of Change procedures.
• Ability to solve problems with critical thought under pressure.
• Participation on various KIK initiatives including continuous improvement, leadership development and safety meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manufacturing field
• Strong knowledge of lean, six sigma tools and problem-solving methodology
• Strong belief in Teamwork and Cross Training
• Drive to achieve key performance metrics and for continuous improvement
• Encourages excellence in others through being a positive influence in the development of team.
• Customer focus, meets expectations, internally and externally, forms partnerships
• Strong communication skills
