ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and publish feasible and optimal production schedules for manufactured items based on material and labor availability.
- Adjust production schedule to satisfy customer orders, stock level requirements, and rushed orders by utilizing sales and customer service priorities.
- Work with open/past due order reports to maintain schedules and communicate when changes occur with other interested parties.
- Builds an effective partnership with all plant leadership and other line leads to drive expected results.
- Work closely with floor personnel on material issues and changing schedules to reduce set-up times.
- Schedule and forecast usage of production materials to ensure optimal production levels
- Analyze manufacturing capacity constraints and their impact on the master production plan.
- Provide information to customer service regarding order status.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to lower inventory, reduce stock-outs, and to produce more accurate schedules.
- Manage company backlog report and notify Production team and procurement department of risks and potential delays
- Coordinates with Material Planner to ensure demand requirements are communicated and Synchronized with the supply chain.
- Provide weekly manufacturing lead time reports to customers and provide corrective action on shop lead time above standard.
- Manage production KPIs and ensure schedule attainable report is made available to production team weekly
- Other duties may be assigned.
Required Competencies, Knowledge, Skills:
- High School Diploma/GED or associate degree preferred
- Ability to multi-task effectively, prioritize and execute against multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrates excellent follow-up skills
- Problem-solving and strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Experience:
- Must have 3 years of manufacturing experience using ERP system - Epicor Vantage system experience is a plus.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; be a strong user of Excel for managing production planning
- Must have experience with customer service
- Must have a sense of urgency.
- Must be highly flexible to adjust to continually changing demands and adjust production plans to meet the demands.
Physical Demands:
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs.
- Occasionally bending, reaching, and squatting throughout the shift
- This position requires sitting for extended amounts of time. This position may require you to walk from the office areas into manufacturing, warehouse, or shipping departments.
