Production Planner

Job Description
Zekelman Industries seeks a Production Planner for our Wheatland Tube division. Reporting to the Manager of Production Planning, this person is responsible for scheduling, reporting, and analysis of the inventory at all relevant production locations.
RESPONSIBILTIES:

• Create and maintain production instructions; schedule and prioritize production orders for mill, off-line, and slitter production (SAP and MES)
• Provide analysis and reports as needed for mill, off-line, and slitter production (SAP and MES)
• Analyze, create, schedule, and maintain transactions for any outsourced material
• Create BOM's, RTG's and PV's as needed
• Provide month end summary production report and analysis (SAP and MES)
• Assist in the yearly physical inventory of raw material and finished goods
• Identify slow moving and obsolete stock and work for disposition
• Assist with other projects and analyses as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4-year bachelor's degree or related work experience
• Strong computational and analytical skills coupled with strong decision-making ability
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment; ability to deal with change quickly and accurately
• Strong computer and programming skills; ability to work with SAP (BW, APO), MES, Microsoft Office Suite, and knowledge of Wind Shuttle and AI technologies a plus.
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Regular and predictable, full-time, onsite attendance during scheduled hours
• Lead and promote health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy
