Job Summary:
The Production Manager is responsible for the technical management, supervision, and control of the fabrication production processes. The Production Manager will ensure that the manufacturing process runs reliably and efficiently.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train new employees.
- Maintain a highly motivated workforce.
- Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned staff.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy and HR.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Planning and organizing a production schedule. The schedule will be revised and published weekly.
- Assessing personnel and/or equipment resources to project requirements. Utilize the production schedule to assign manufacturing staff to project tasks.
- Overseeing production processes on the manufacturing floor.
- Coordinating with maintenance the availability of production equipment for routine repairs and upkeep.
- Supervising and managing the work of team leaders.
- Work with project managers to ensure project requirements are met.
- Reviewing the readiness of manufacturing drawings for release into production. All manufacturing drawings will be submitted with a production schedule to the Production Manager for assignment into fabrication.
- Review the readiness of inventoried materials and/or materials being procured. Assign production priorities based on material availability.
- Organization the storage of inventoried materials. Coordinate with the receiving group for offloading and placement/storage of materials.
- Work with accounting to maintain current inventory counts of stored materials.
- Ensure that health and safety regulations are met.
- Ensure that quality control standards are met.
- Organize relevant training sessions.
- Coordinate with the shipping group and project management to ensure successful shipment of finished goods.
- Work closely with senior management to establish equipment and capital requirements.
- Work closely with senior management to establish and maintain personnel requirements.
- Plan and order all required consumables for the workshop.
- Maximize workshop and workflow efficiency.

Education and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is required.
- Five years of related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to access and navigate the production facility.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to travel internationally.
- Must be able to work normal business hours M-F (except Holidays, etc.)
- Must be available on weekends (travel, special projects, meetings, or company-related business)
- Must be willing to sign the company NDA and not engage in any activity that is deemed detrimental to the organization.
- Standard 40 hours per week Exempt position.
- Travel time not expected to exceed 30%
