DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist departmental personnel in the set-up, operation and processing capability.
- Assists supervisor in daily activities to promote and maintain a clean, safe and efficient work area.
- Troubleshoots equipment and makes appropriate machine repairs/adjustments.
- Coordinates activity between various shifts to ensure smooth transition of duties.
- Performs quality inspections on thermoforming and printing operations.
- Monitors production output, from direction of Production Supervisor and inform Production Supervisor of output issues.
- Assists in employee evaluation and the proper completion of JPE'S.
- Reviews machine output against production demands and researches ways to improve productivity. Reviews and ensures that all SPC data and production reports are complete.
- Follows and participates in plant safe housekeeping guidelines designed to ensure a safe work environment.
- Support the functions of a Supervisor, in the event of the supervisor being absent
- Performs LN duties and keeps inventory system accurate.
- Ensures product flow is continuous through the machines.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Successful completion of all forming, printing and padding (if applicable) skills assessments. Demonstrated leadership

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to print simple sentences and legibly complete reports and time cards. Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions. Read, analyze and interpret technical procedures and manufacturing terminology. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and the public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Employee will be required to fill in for supervisor in an absence.
