Senior Production Electronics Technician

Position Description
The Senior Production Electronics Technician will be a key member of the production team responsible for leading the manufacturing of Diversatek’s next generation medical gastrointestinal diagnostic products. The ideal candidate will have the ability to quickly come up to speed on existing production processes and be motivated to help develop and improve these processes. This is a full time, first shift position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble and test a variety of electromechanical medical devices per approved procedures.
- Become an expert in all areas of the production process with the ability and flexibility to perform in each process area
- Assist production personnel troubleshooting assemblies
- Provide training to other production assemblers and will take responsibility for following the manufacturing process.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the product as a system to aid troubleshooting failures.
- Support product development engineers building, troubleshooting and testing electromechanical systems in a research and development environment as it transitions to production
- Gather, maintain, compile and manipulate technical data from production tests as necessary to improve the manufacturing process.
- Help develop production assembly and test procedures
- Other tasks as assigned
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- At least 10 years of experience as a technician working in research and/or production environment
- Must be able to solder very fine pitch components and build very small assemblies using a microscope
- Must have experience working in a manufacturing environment, this is an assembly position.
- Must understand Work Orders and Bills of Materials
- Must have ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
- Strong hand/eye coordination
- Read and understand electronic schematics
- Able to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems with minimal supervision
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and general PC skills
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Must have clearly legible handwriting

EDUCATION/TRAINING
- Associates Degree desired in Electronics or similar
