Form of workA medium sized apparel company specializing in men's and boys' apparel seeking a Production Coordinator with experience in wholesale apparel.
Daily tasks include, but not limited to:
- Measure the garments and input the specifications.
- Maintain and organize the fabric and trims libraries.
- Communicate with all vendors throughout production.
- Update the Work in Progress (WIP) as requested.
- Track delivery dates in system for updates.
- Provide production support to the Production Manager.
- Issue PO’s to factories.
- Set up and review production status reports and review delivery issues.
- Track and organize the FIT, PPS, TOP samples and packages from shipping and receiving.
- Track testing reports and care/content labeling.
- Communicate daily with overseas factories on production orders.
- Manage flow of information for POs, costing, samples, and orders to the Design, Production and Sales Teams.
- Attention to detail, organization and excellent computer skills required.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment.
- Reliable, flexible and require minimal supervision.
3-5 years in wholesale apparel industry
Advanced negotiation skills
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) Ability to multitask and work in an environment of busy executives.
Foreign languages a plus (Chinese, Korean, Urdu, Bangla or Hindi)
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize Detail oriented – organized – self-motivated MUST be computer savvy (Windows PC, Outlook, Excel experience required)
Quick learner… ‘can do’ attitude good presentation (business casual) Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook Reliable and punctual
