Job Description
Visio Hype Production Studio is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Assistant to join our team. As a Production Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our production team and ensuring the smooth execution of projects. With a competitive hourly rate of $25-$30 per hour and full benefits, this is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic world of film and video production.
Responsibilities:
Set Preparation: Assist with the preparation and organization of sets, props, equipment, and materials for film and video shoots. Collaborate with the production team to ensure all necessary resources are available and ready for use.
Equipment Setup and Maintenance: Set up and operate production equipment, including cameras, lighting, audio, and grip gear. Ensure equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and stored between uses.
Assistance on Set: Provide support to the director, cinematographer, and other crew members during filming. Perform tasks such as adjusting lighting, monitoring sound levels, and coordinating talent and extras as needed.
Transportation: Assist with transportation logistics, including loading and unloading equipment, props, and supplies. Drive production vehicles to and from locations, ensuring safety and adherence to traffic laws.
Production Coordination: Assist with production coordination tasks, such as organizing schedules, arranging catering, and managing paperwork and releases. Communicate effectively with cast and crew to ensure everyone is informed and prepared for their roles.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations on set, including COVID-19 safety guidelines and industry standards. Proactively identify and address potential hazards or risks to ensure a safe working environment for all.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in film, media production, or related field is a plus.
- 1+ years of experience in a Production Assistant or similar role in the film or television industry.
- Knowledge of production equipment, techniques, and terminology.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
