Job Description
Are you a Junion Controller with at least 5 years of experience in the industrial, engineering, or construction markets?
Can you lead a team of accountants that will support you on projects?
Can you offer financial advice to key players within a company on upcoming and existing projects?
If so, this Junior Controller may be a great fit.
Based in Houston, TX this Junior Controller position will report directly to the Business Unit Controller.
Analysis
- Controller responsible for USA project Business Unit
- On time and accurate reporting as per Group rules and US GAAP
- A to Z accounting of the BU unit results incl project accounting and its various depots, this with support on AR/AP from Mariana. But indeed back up when she is on leave/ absent.
- Prepare management reporting of the BU including analysis of variance of actuals vs budget and forecast. This at depot level
- Prepares monthly forecast and budget based on input from business unit: P&L and Cash flow
- Post project review: comparison sales, operational budget P&L with actual results of the various projects
- Works closely with project manager, sales, project manager and operations
- Ad hoc analysis
- Identify profitability and cash flow improvement initiatives
Accounting nature
- Follows up and Prepare on monthly provisions
- Balance sheet reconciliation
- Lead the audit
- Sales – full cycle – incl filing
- Responsible for filing and preparation of taxes: sales tax
- Post payroll
- Full cycle back when up when local accountant needs support
- Ensure compliance with local regulations
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 5 years of experience in general accounting.
Bachelor's degree in accounting. CPA recommendable
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Knowledgeable in (sales) tax, reporting, intercompany and auditing.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 highly recommended).
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
