SalaryPart-time, seasonal position to assist in the overall production and organization of the technical requirements for Cultural Programs/theatre.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in production, pre and post-production to include set-up, striking of stage, lights, sound, loading and unloading of trucks.
- Assists in the set-up and use of auxiliary areas affected by these events such as dressing rooms and lobbies.
- Assists with the set-up and operation of sound and lighting as needed at locations other than the theatre.
- Assists with the maintaining of equipment assigned to this department.
- Records work time and quantities of materials used (as directed).
- Maintains a good working relationship with College personnel, visiting production companies and facilities users.
- Contributes to unit planning, assessment, and college institutional effectiveness efforts.
- Acts in accordance with College policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Educational: High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
Experiential: Experience with any of the following preferred: live audio; live lighting; fly rail operations; video cameras/video switcher; wardrobe and property; props and scenery.
Other: Familiarity with basic stage direction, terminology, and equipment required. Occasionally position involves medium to heavy manual work that involves walking, standing, pushing, and lifting as least 50 lbs. A flexible schedule is needed due to the varying hours including nights and weekends.
