Job description

The Production Artist will be responsible for timely and accurate production of marketing materials, working in partnership with the Graphic Design, Marketing Operations, and Product Management teams. This work includes, but is not limited to, the production of brochures, videos, animations, advertisements, posters, flyers, invitations, exhibit graphics, and PowerPoint/Keynote presentations.
What You’ll Work On
  • Lead production projects and work directly with project requesters.
  • Execute designs in various print and digital formats in partnership with Graphic Design team.
  • Complete updates and revisions to existing materials, repurposing and modifying for country-specific audience as needed.
  • Produce new collateral from templated designs while following brand guidelines.
  • Repurpose exhibit materials when necessary and assist in production of new exhibit materials.
  • Assist in creating invitations for various events based on existing templates for Medical Education and Events teams.
  • Maintain and update running list of disclaimers and risk statements for associated product families.
  • Coordinate with print vendor on all post-production work.
  • Catalog and file for digital assets in the Merlin DAM in conjunction with Marketing Operations team.
  • Review file specifications prior to releasing files and ensure adherence to standards of both the regulatory and legal departments. Collect and distribute artwork as necessary.
  • Adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures.
  • Understand relevant security, privacy and compliance principles and adhere to the regulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the Company.
  • Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned
What You Contribute
  • Bachelor’s degree in fine arts or related field with 2+ years of experience in graphic and web design, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Solid understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud, Mac OS, Word, PowerPoint and Acrobat
  • Proven track record of receiving and effectively interpreting design directions and working independently
  • Organized and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • High degree of accuracy and detail to technical document projects including app notes and product sheet as well as trade show graphics, print and banner ads, brochures, product stuffers, invitations, presentations, newsletters and emails
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of industry standard printing practices, digital optimization, and prepress work with digital and offset printing
Working Conditions
General office environment. Willingness and ability to work on site. Must be able to move between buildings and floors. Must be able to remain stationary and use a computer or other standard office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine, for an extensive period of time each day. Must be able to read, prepare emails, and produce documents and spreadsheets. Must be able to move within the office and access file cabinets or supplies, as needed. Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information with employees at all levels on a daily basis.
Annual Base Salary Range: $66,560 - $80,000 / year
